Master Halco Outsources Dedicated Contract Carriage and Transportation Management Operations to Ryder

MIAMI, FL, Jul 29, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a global leader in transportation and supply chain management solutions, today announced it has been awarded a Dedicated Contract Carriage (DCC) and Transportation Management contract with Master Halco, Inc., the world's leading distributor and manufacturer of perimeter security and fencing.

Under the contract, Ryder will assume all private fleet responsibilities for Master Halco's 48 U.S. and six Canada locations utilizing a turnkey package that includes 116 vehicles, drivers, fleet management, and preventive and programmed maintenance for the equipment.

Ryder's DCC service is a customized suite of transportation management services for the delivery of a customer's products that optimizes its fleet operations and allows its management to be more focused on core business issues.
