Ryder is Honored as Truck Intermodal Logistics Partner of the Year

Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a leader in transportation and supply
chain management solutions, today announced it has received the 2010
Carrier of the Year award from Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc., in the
category of “Truck Intermodal Logistics Partner of the Year.” Ryder is
one of only four companies that were recognized with Toyota’s 2010
Carrier of the Year awards.

Toyota selects four winners for its Carrier of the Year Awards annually
to recognize outstanding transportation service providers who support
Toyota’s North American Parts Operations. Selection of the winners is
based on each carrier’s performance in areas such as on-time delivery
and pickup, safety, problem-solving capabilities, damage prevention, and
equipment availability, among others. Toyota also evaluates carriers on
their ability to embrace kaizen, or a focus on continuous improvement in
their service.
