MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Ryder
System, Inc. (NYSE:R), a leader in commercial transportation and
supply chain management solutions, today announced that it was presented
with two Awards of Excellence in the 2013
TMSA Compass Awards Program by the Transportation
Marketing and Sales Association (TMSA). The TMSA is the leading
organization dedicated to advancing the success of marketing and sales
professionals in all transportation modes. The TMSA Awards of Excellence
— the highest level of professional achievement and recognition in
marketing, communications, and sales in today’s transportation,
logistics, and passenger transit marketplace — were presented to Ryder
in the categories of Web-Based Marketing and Sales and On-site/Off-site
Events.
Exchange,
Ryder’s self-hosted blog that provides thought leadership on a variety
of fleet, supply chain and logistics-related topics, won in the
program’s Web-Based Marketing category. The blog was created to provide
a platform for sharing educational information about industry trends,
best practices, perspectives, and commentary. Since its launch in April
2012, the blog has achieved a steady increase in its following quarter
to quarter, seeing over a 2,000 percent increase in traffic. Exchange
can be visited at www.Exchange.Ryder.com
or www.Blog.Ryder.com.
Ryder’s Proactive Innovations event, hosted by Ryder Supply Chain
Solutions in April of 2012, won in the On-site/Off-site Events category.
The event promotes team building with various hands-on activities and
supply chain solutions knowledge sharing, including learning sessions
hosted by Ryder subject matter experts, along with industry thought
leaders. To support the event, the marketing team created a branded
event brochure and other communications collateral including speaker
biographies, the event schedule, and session descriptions.
“We are honored to be recognized for the work we do to deliver thought
leadership to the industry, as well as valuable knowledge sharing
opportunities to our sales and operations peers,” said
Steve Dean
,
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Ryder Supply Chain
Solutions. “These programs support Ryder’s continued focus on
innovation, outstanding supply chain execution, and growth.”
Recognized for their achievements, winners
were selected from over 80 entries and judged for their excellence in
transportation marketing and sales techniques. Applicants submitted a
detailed write-up and creative work samples to a panel of industry
professionals, with award categories including: direct marketing
campaign, integrated campaign, marketing and sales-collaborated effort,
marketing and sales collateral, media relations, on-site/off-site
events, single advertisement, and web-based marketing and sales.
