MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Ryder
System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a leader in commercial
transportation and supply
chain management solutions, today announced that Ryder executive
Thomas Regan, Group Director of Hi-Tech and Electronics, will present at
the Reverse Logistics & Sustainability Council (RLSC) Conference on
Thursday, January 23, 2014, from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the
Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta, Ga.
The RLSC Conference will address the most critical issues and relevant
topics of interest to reverse logistics and sustainability executives.
Speakers include reverse logistics experts from retailing,
manufacturing, 3PLs, liquidation, technology, and academia.
Mr. Regan’s presentation, “Extracting Value from the Reverse Supply
Chain by Leveraging the Forward Supply Chain,” will touch upon various
topics, including trends in the marketplace and the benefits of
co-locating.
Ryder’s co-location solution integrates forward and reverse logistics in
the same facility to further optimize the returns process and drive
greater value recovery of returned assets. By co-locating the
distribution management of finished goods with returns processes such as
technical repair, refurbishment, and repackaging in the same facility,
co-location enables customers to benefit from lower administrative
costs, fewer transportation miles, lower fuel costs, improved visibility
and control throughout the product lifecycle, and faster processing
speed.
To register to attend the conference, download the RLSC
2014 Conference Registration Form, or visit reverselogistics.com/conference/
