OSHA Oil & Gas Safety and Health Conference, December 2 – 3, in Houston,
Texas. The annual conference presents an opportunity for key decision
makers to foster a better understanding of how industry and OSHA can
work together to improve safety performance through cooperation, best
practice sharing, and relationship building.
Randy Tomlinson, Senior Manager of Health, Safety, Security, and
Environmental for Ryder, will be speaking at the conference about a new
approach to the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process, and how lean
methodologies can help ignite motivation, drive safety, and foster
continuous improvement. The title of the presentation is “Root Cause
Analysis: How to Use it to Evaluate Your Operation’s Three E’s
(Employees, Equipment, and Environment) and Drive a Safer Transportation
Network.”
Mr. Tomlinson has more than 35 years of transportation industry
experience, having started his career as a professional truck driver. He
has spent the last 30 years at Ryder, in the health, safety and security
organization, and has lead the company’s efforts to develop industry
leading transportation safety programs for the oil & gas industry.
