Ryder
System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a leader in commercial transportation and
supply chain management solutions, announced the grand opening of its
new truck maintenance and rental facility in Schertz, Texas.
The facility, conveniently located in the Tri County Parkway area,
provides commercial vehicle maintenance for Ryder
full service lease and rental customers, mobile maintenance, and a
20-minute rental service guarantee. The location’s new rental fleet,
from light duty trucks to tractors, is equipped with RydeSmart, Ryder’s
full-featured GPS telematics solution. Ryder is currently the only
company in the market with a facility offering both vehicle rental and
mobile maintenance.
Various dignitaries from the city of Schertz, including Mayor Michael
Carpenter, Chief of Staff Bob Cantu, and City Councilmember David L.
Scagliola, attended the facility’s grand opening. The event featured a
ribbon cutting ceremony and plaque presentation provided by the Schertz
Chamber of Commerce.

as emergency roadside assistance, fueling, equipment evaluations and
specification, fleet management reporting tools, administrative support,
and driver safety programs. Ryder Commercial Rental provides customers
with rental trucks on a short-term basis to meet their needs for
supplemental capacity. Ryder Contract Maintenance provides maintenance
for customers who wish to use Ryder’s extensive network of facilities
and technicians to maintain their truck fleet.
