Ryder Ranks 62nd out of 500 on List
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Ryder
System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a leader in commercial
fleet management, dedicated
transportation, and supply
chain solutions, today announced that it has been named by Forbes
as one of “America’s Best Employers,” ranking 62nd out of 500
on the list.
The 500 employers on the list were chosen based on an independent survey
of 20,000 American employees working for large U.S. companies and
institutions, and U.S. divisions of international firms. They were asked
anonymously through several online panels if they’d recommend their
employer, or any other employers in their industry, to a potential
employee. The mix of respondents in the sample is representative of the
overall U.S. workforce. The survey was conducted on companies in all
industry sectors employing more than 2,500 workers in the U.S.
“Many of the world’s most respected brands trust Ryder to manage their
most critical fleet and supply chain functions,” said Robert Sanchez,
Ryder Chairman and CEO. “Approximately 50,000 businesses rely on Ryder
employees, most of whom work on our frontlines and who take great pride
in making deliveries, managing inventory, and servicing vehicles to keep
our customers’ businesses running. We are fortunate to have the best
people in the industry who are committed to delivering on the promises
we make to customers, and who enable us to maintain our reputation as a
leader in the markets where we compete.”

Admired Companies. Ryder is a $6.6 billion commercial fleet management
and supply chain solutions company, with operations in the U.S., Canada,
