Ryder Fleet Experts to Discuss Freight Efficiencies and Best Practices

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R), a leader in commercial fleet management, dedicated transportation, and supply chain management solutions, today announced that it is a platinum sponsor of the 2015 Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo. The Expo, North America’s largest alternative fuel and clean vehicle technology conference, will be held from May 4 – 7 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Ryder Vice President of Supply Management and Global Fuel Products, Scott Perry, and Ryder Vice President of Integrated Marketing Strategy & Planning, Natalie Putnam, will be speaking on panels at the event.

Mr. Perry is responsible for Ryder’s advanced fuel vehicle offering, which includes leading the company’s successful commercial natural gas truck deployment into 10 markets in North America. He will speak on the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) panel titled “Trucking Efficiency Summit: Fleet Confidence in Technologies,” which will take place on May 6 at 2:30 p.m. CST inside the main Expo Hall. Mr. Perry will discuss the fuel-saving benefits of current vehicle technologies and how to facilitate the deployment of alternative clean technology vehicle fleets with outsourced transportation solutions such as rental and leasing. Mr. Perry will also be involved in NACFE’s Natural Gas Workshop on May 4 at 1 – 5 p.m. CST, where small group discussions will uncover the benefits and challenges of adopting various technologies including 6x2 axles, idle-reduction devices, electronic engine parameters and automated transmissions and will include real-world examples of how fleets implemented various technologies and overcame challenges.

Ryder will also have a booth (1737) that will feature one of the Company’s Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles that is currently being used by Anheuser-Busch through Ryder’s full service lease offering.

Mrs. Putnam is responsible for developing strategic marketing plans to support Ryder’s product and vertical industry groups, and has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the transportation industry. She will participate in the Women in ACT Summit and speak on a panel titled “Creating a Culture for Success: Companies that Lead.” The panel will be led by Women in Trucking Vice President, Ellen Voie on Monday, May 4 at 1 p.m. CST inside the main Expo Hall. The Women in ACT Summit will showcase female leaders and companies that are shaping the future of clean transportation.
