Experts to Discuss Issues Affecting Private Fleets
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Ryder
System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a leader in commercial
fleet management and supply
chain management solutions, today announced that it is a sponsor of
the 10th annual BevOps Fleet Summit, hosted by Beverage
World magazine. The Summit, a learning and information sharing
experience for warehousing, operations, and fleet management, will
be held from April 21 – 24 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Ryder Director of Business Development for Advanced Fuels Rueben Stokes;
Senior Director of Talent Acquisition Patrick Pendergast; and Senior
Manager of Safety and Loss Prevention Andrew Leavitt will be conference
presenters, speaking on the topics of alternative fuels, changes to CSA
regulations, and truck driver shortages.
Mr. Stokes’ presentation “Alt Fuels Part I: Lessons Learned from CNG
Conversion” will discuss how to plan and properly execute a fleet’s
conversion to natural gas, from the selection of partners, fueling,
maintenance, and specifications, to the timing, sequencing, and
integration. Mr. Leavitt and Mr. Pendergast’s presentation “CSA
Revisions & CDL Shortages: Making Sense of the Biggest Battles” will
address the issues surrounding the new Hours of Service regulations, the
looming driver shortage, and the plethora of related proposed laws and
rule changes that could affect every private fleet. Ryder will also lead
a roundtable discussion on the topic of Total Cost of Ownership, to sort
through the true cost of owning versus leasing commercial truck fleets,
as part of the summit’s Problem Solver Roundtable Luncheon.
As part of the conference’s Ride & Drive/Equipment Demo event — which
provides attendees and sponsors with the opportunity to test beverage
vehicles and equipment through an exciting experience — Ryder will
